Anxiety Relief
When your nervous system has learned to stay on high alert, telling yourself to relax doesn't work. We teach it the opposite, how to settle, recover, and stop spiraling.
Chronic anxiety is a learned response, your nervous system became very good at being on. Hypnotherapy retrains that response at the level it was learned, so calm becomes the new baseline. You leave every session with a recording so you can keep reinforcing the work at home.

Trauma & PTSD
Old experiences don't have to keep running today's life. Hypnotherapy works gently and safely with the parts of the mind still holding what happened, and helps them finally let go.
Trauma lives in the subconscious, not as a story but as a felt response your body keeps replaying. Jim's pace is careful and never rushed, something four decades of counseling work taught him long before he ever practiced hypnosis. We help the protective parts of you understand the threat has passed, and integrate what's been carried for too long.

"The change you want isn't held back by missing information, it's held back by a part of your mind that learned a different story. The work is teaching it a new one."

Also working with
The rest of what Jim helps with.
The heaviness, the flatness, the inner voice that keeps telling you it won't get better. We work directly with the beliefs underneath it.
Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical care, and Jim will say so plainly if that's what you need. But for the low mood that lives in old beliefs, self-talk, and habits of thought, working at the subconscious level can shift things that conversation alone hasn't. Sessions are unhurried and always paced to you.
Honest about limits
What hypnotherapy is not for.
- Severe mental illness requiring psychiatric care
- Medical conditions that need a physician
- Anything you don't actually want to change
- A replacement for therapy when therapy is what's needed
If hypnotherapy isn't the right fit, Jim will tell you in the initial consultation and point you toward someone who is.
